As kaitiaki of our land, sustainability is at the heart of Rakaia Incorporation. Across all our farms, resources are utilised in a way that provides the best outcomes for the Incorporation, our Sharemilkers, and the environment.  We have aligned our approach to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and identified the indicators that impact that goal.

Sustainability in the dairy industry is attracting more and more attention as buying habits change with consumers now considering environmental impact in their decisions. There are a number of challenges that the dairy industry has to face in order to become more sustainable.

We are working together with DairyNZ, Fonterra, Synlait and our sharemilkers to ensure we balance our outcomes with sustainability in order to become an Incorporation that our shareholders can be proud of.
